Dinesh Karthik ready to be selected in ICC Men's T20 World Cup, 2024 ?

 




Dinesh Karthik, a veteran Indian wicket-keeper batsman, became a hero for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the end, as the team won its first IPL 2024 match on Monday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium against Punjab.

The middle order struggled in the midst of the RCB's run chase against Punjab Kings, allowing the visitors to mount a comeback. Virat Kohli had set the stage for this chase after his impressive score of 77 in just 49 balls earning Man of the Match title.

Karthik's blistering 28*(10) effort enabled RCB to overcome Shikhar Dhawan-led Punjab by four wickets and chase down a total of 177 runs.




Following the 38-year-old's outstanding final cameo, supporters on social media called for Karthik to be included in the Indian squad that will participate in the 2024 T20I World Cup in the USA. However, the All India selection committee might ignore Dinesh Karthik due to the age factor and his past failure in big matches in previous world cup fixtures
